Committing to Jesus

What is commit or commitment? It mean's to trust or give your unfailing attention and dedication to someone or something totally. Commit also mean that your are devoted to your endeavor.

These are days high school athletes often let colleges or universities know if they are committed to playing sports with them. All that seem good, but the world have forgotten about their spiritual commitment. Committing is almost like a marriage. Both parties should be committed to the other, but in today's world people cannot stay committed because of self desire. Self desire does not lead to committing to Jesus Christ, unless you desire to commit all you have to him.

Our Commitment to God and Jesus show's by how much time we spend with him each day, in prayer, reading and meditating on his holy word, and whether we are dong his will.

Marriage is a commitment, and devotion is part of that commitment. it is the same way with God when we say we love God and that we are a Christian.

Psalm 37th Chapter, 4 & 5 verses, Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord: trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.

Commitment also means to trust. Can God & Jesus trust you to do his will?

1st Timothy 6th Chapter, 20 & 21 verses, O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

Remember that you cannot love two masters, you either love one and hate the other.

The best thing for your life is to commit to Jesus Christ today.
