What does the word Overcome mean? it means to get or gain the victory over a situation or circumstances.

From the events that unfolded in charlottesville, VA over the weekend, along with President Trump's comments, America and the world has clearly seen that Hatred is in the fabric of the American society. These events should also awake African American to stop destroying each other.

In order to get rid of Hatred, it takes an constant effort from the whole country and the world, because hatred against Jews and Blacks are worldwide. There are other groups that are hated in the world, but none more than the Jews and Blacks worldwide scale.

1st John, 3C, 15 Verse, Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

There are many people that have overcome Poverty and struggles to make it through, but they did not give up.

When I reached the 12th Grade, I dropped out of High school needing a half of a credit to graduate. I always knew that I would go back and finished and I did by getting my GED, Spending 22 years in the Military, Almost 17 years working with the State of Florida and County to retire from both, and even getting my college degree, and ultimately becoming a Servant of God. I overcame my circumstances, traveled and experienced the world while I learned different cultures and met many types of people.

1st John 5C, 4 & 5 verses, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the Victory that overcometh the world even our faith 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

As I visited a friend last night, he had someone visiting that thought he knew much about everything and knew very little. He was a teacher in the school system. He started to talk about North Korea as he had all the answers. After I told him that I spent 3 tours in South Korea during my military Career he changed the topic to God.

The visitor stated if there was a God, why is all these things happening to African Americans in this country. I replied because we turned our backs on God. He stated he can't serve a so Called God who let's all this happen. I told him I was a pastor, and that God word was true, he stated to me that I don't think much of that. I said okay.

I thought the conversation had ended between the visitor and myself. When I was ready to go home, he ask if he could have a word with me outside? I said yes. On the outside he ask me the question, "would thing ever change in this country for African Americans"? My words to him was only if we serve and trust in God and Jesus Christ. He then ask me without the answer you just gave to me, will we ever rise above to where we are. I told him no. He walked off muttering something and talking about me.

I said no, only because we and the world cannot OverCome hatred, murder, jealousy, envy, "etc" without believing, serving and living for God and Jesus Christ.

Jesus stated to his disciple in St John 16C, 33 verse, B-clause I have overcome the world. As he told his disciples, I have told you and taught all things of the father to you. He was letting them know that they could do the same.

We can only overcome the world and hatred when we love ourselves and love and respect all humans in the world.
