What does God mean when he says "The Last Days"? We can simply look at the word last meaning. The meaning that nothing else comes after last. They were the last to come. They sold the last pie. They bought the last piece of land, etc. You get the picture.
When God say's the last days he means that these days are the last days for man to accept his word and his church which Jesus said he is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkles. When the church is taken out of the earth, the earth will go through untold destruction that cannot be phantom by man.
God mentioned the word "Last" and the word "days". Days by God mean's it will take a little while for God to complete his revelation of things to come in his son Jesus Christ. He means that it would not take place in a day, but will take place over a time period of many days, until the end finally come.
1st Thessalonians, 5th chapter, 1 & 2 verses, But of the times and seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
What does Jesus Say about the "Last Days": Read Matthew, chapter 24 (entire), verse 36th But of that day and hour Knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my father only.
The "Last Days" are also known as the "Last Times". 2nd Timothy 3rd chapter (entire), 1st verse, This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (read the entire 3rd chapter).
Paul wanted to remind us that the day or days are far spent. Romans, 13th Chapter, 11 & 12 verses. 11 And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep. Paul is saying that people act as if they are dreaming, but it is real what they see. For now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand(meaning Jesus is close to return) let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour light.
